Sometimes less is MORE!

Sometimes less is More... I have been working on our new packing for gifts and on-line orders. But when I try to get fancy it just looks all wrong...I keep going back to basics.. Simply, clean, and 100% recycled.

John Cassin - wood comes to life in Vermont

We are so excited to have new sculptures by John Cassin . This spring, DaVallia-Art and Accents on the green in Chester, VT will be having an incredible art show of sculptures in both wood and stone. The details in John's pieces are astonishing. This is a body of work that we encourage people to touch. The wood and stone come alive and tell a fascinating story.

Pottery in Southern Vemont

DaVallia is proud to carry some of Vermont's best potter's.
We have a wonderful new collection of pottery by Mathew Tell. Mathew fires his pottery in a wood fired kiln. The fire goes through each piece in the chamber and tells a surprising story every time. A Little about Mathew Tell:

My dialogue with clay is articulated in the 6,000 year old tradition of the functional vessel. I like the idea of my pieces becoming part of people's everyday life.

I am influenced by my environment, the Green Mountains of Vermont. This is reflective in the suggestive landscapes and colorful earth-tone glaze overlays I use to decorate my pots. A recent trip to Alaska has further opened more possibilities to colors, forms, and textures.
