A Lilttle Southern Art in VT...
We are thrilled to have art work by Dolan Geiman in DaVallia. Dolan is a nationally recognized mixed media artist creating original paintings, collages, constructions, and limited-edition reproductions. Produced from salvaged wood, found objects, and other recycled materials, Geiman's eco-friendly artwork emerges from a folk art tradition infused with a contemporary, urban style.
Originally from Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Geiman currently lives and works in Chicago along with wife and business partner Ali Marie Geiman. His artwork has broad appeal to collectors and decorators alike, successfully weaving together rural with urban, vintage with contemporary. Motifs such as birds, woodland creatures, music, and Americana are popular and recurring themes, creating an artwork that introduces a modern aesthetic while remaining true to its rustic roots.
Geiman’s mixed media works on wood are created on discarded wood panels, otherwise in route to the landfill.
The paint used in these works is recycled household paint available to the public via the City of Chicago’s paint exchange program. Silk screened images are produced via water-based inks.

Reclaimed, Recycled, Reinvented......
The inspiration for Michael's newest furniture line comes from both the Industrial Era and Classic New England architecure. Combining old steel components with recycled timbers and barnwood from Vermont Barns, he is creating one-of-a-kind pieces. Each piece is filled with history and character. Clients also have the ability to be an active part of the creating process. The ability to design and digitally render a finished piece of furniture allows Michael to visual show a client what a rusty hunk of metal can be transformed into. Stop in the gallery to see what's new, as new pieces arrive weekly. If you would like to have a custom piece designed, please schedule an appointment to discuss your project.

New, Vintage Wall ARt.......
There is something so lovely about old barn boards, vintage accents and rusty metal! I just finished this run of mixed media wall art this week. I used vintage industrial molds and old VT maple syrup taps. The key/ coat racks have such a nice feel. I rubbed the 100 year old hemlock boards with linseed oil to bring out its natural rich color. Add some one-of- a-kind art to your home that has function and style!
Earth, METAL, Wood!!
We are very excited to welcome Richard Gillis to our family of artists. Richard, a local metal artist hand-forges cold hard steel into timeless, beautiful furniture, sculpture, lamps, and home accents.
Rich is currently exhibiting this beautiful table at the Gilford Welcome Center along with DaVallia's exclusive furniture line. This is a must see for anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice function, style, and beauty in small places.
The table based is made of forged and welded steel, finished with a linseed oil based finish to bring out the natural characteristics and beauty of the metal.
The hand planed table top is constructed of quarter sawn hard maple, which is very durable and less susceptible to warping than flat sawn wood.
The finish is a custom blended stain followed by multiple coats of polyurethane. Brass hinges with a dark patina connect the 2 pieces of wood along with custom hardware created to align the table top in the appropriate open and closed positions. This table can seat 4 people in the closed position and up to 8 people in the open position. 6 for dining.
The table measures 32" W x 32"L x 29" H closed
and 32"W x 64"L x 28" H open.
